AT Consulting branch in Kazakhstan held the Agile Days Conference 2014, the largest meeting of Agile and Lean experts, in Almaty on May 30th and 31st, 2014. The conference allowed the participants to share their best practices of agile software development. The event took place for the first time.
Avowed Agile experts, coaches, and consultants delivered their reports during the first day of the conference. Askhat Urazbaev and Nikita Filippov, Managing Partners of Scrum Trek, were among them. AT Consulting employees and representatives of company’s customers participated in the event as well. Igor Khomich, Partner at AT Consulting, spoke about innovative solutions in telecommunication and financial industries, and Alexander Pavlovich who held a course on Service & Usability Design at The British Higher School of Art and Design presented practices of professional service design in product and business development.
During the second day the participants attended workshop sessions and then solidified their knowledge. Due to the informal atmosphere of the event, the participants had the opportunity of discussing problems and issues concerning the Agile methodology.
«The Agile methodology is a series of approaches when result analysis is carried out in parallel with software development and tasks are fulfilled during short iterations. At present this methodology is used in major Russian companies; and Kazakh companies become more interested in it. The Agile Days Conference has been held in Russia for eight years. It has taken place in Almaty for the first time. We hope the event will lay the foundations for cooperation with world-class specialists and such meetings will become regular” said Boris Troitsky, Head of AT Consulting branch in Kazakhstan.
