AT Consulting has implemented an ABS system in "Toyota Bank"

October 26, 2007

AT Consulting Company and CJSC "Toyota Bank" announced the successful completion of a project to implement an integrated system of banking automation.

The owner of the bank is Toyota Financial Services Corp. - the financial arm of Toyota Motor Corp., which was the first foreign car manufacturer that entered into the Russian market of car loans. In April 2007, CJSC "Toyota Bank" was introduced by the Central Bank of Russia in the State Register of Credit Institutions and got the license number 3470 for banking operations in Russia.

The decision on the tendering of suppliers of automated banking systems was adopted by the Management Board in November 2006. Initially for automating the activities of CJSC "Toyota Bank", a foreign system was chosen, but the weak point is the lack of foreign ABS adaptation to Russian conditions. After a long process of analysis and refinement of the software, it was revealed that the system does not meet the planned introduction of the requirements at the beginning, and does not take into account the specifics of the Russian banking sector. Therefore, the bank was forced to turn to the system proposed by Russian producers. At this stage, AT Consulting Company was contracted, which guaranteed all activities in a timely manner. The tender was arranged by AT Consulting in a record time of 4 weeks. As a result of the work carried out, a solution by Diasoft was chosen as the one that most fully satisfied the requirements of the bank..

AT Consulting Company managed the project from the Customer's side. To organize the deployment of the system it was necessary to formalize the bank’s business requirements, which, given that the bank was not operating at the time, required participation of AT Consulting in engineering of business processes. All works have been divided into two phases: The standard functionality, with full automation of all bank transactions was assigned to the first phase. Cash management services, hard cash and foreign exchange transactions modules have been implemented, and reporting to CB, Treasury operations, asset accounting and management of on-site contracts have been automated.

Business processes, reflecting the specific business of the bank were identified in the second phase: lending to individuals and legal entities, risk management and limits.

Implementation of the first phase was carried out in three months. In this case, such a tight deadline did not affect the quality of the work undertaken with the use of international experience and a standard methodology for such projects. For the "Diasoft" Company, Russia's largest manufacturer of software for the financial sector, it is the first experience in a full launch of a foreign bank based on car loans.

According to the CEO of AT Consulting, Sergey Shilov: "The professionalism of bank managers and AT Consulting specialists results in the interest of the outcome and organized communication between all stakeholders to maximize the yield time window to run the project and to adapt the system to the needs of the bank. The work was very fruitful, and I hope that we can to continue our cooperation to an equally high standard.".

The results of cooperation with AT Consulting are highly evaluated in "Toyota Bank". "By adopting the proposed solution, the bank plans to obtain a tool that will meet our needs in terms of level of customer service and also the development of the business of the bank as a whole. The first phase of the project meant serious work, and AT Consulting specialists helped us do the work professionally and in a very short period of time," said the Chief Financial Officer of the bank Valentina Semenkova.
