VimpelCom in partnership with AT Consulting have finished the project on migration of NTC subscribers to centralized IT systems of VimpelCom. The subscribers have been transferred to more than 30 key business support systems such as billing ones, CRM one, self-service one, and etc.
VimpelCom acquired 90 % of New Telephone Company (NTC) shares in June 2011 and raised its stake up to 100 % in February, 2012. The juridical consolidation was accomplished in June, 2012. The final stage of the integration of NTC, namely, the large-scale migration was carried out in September, 2013. As a result of the transfer, all Beeline services and tariffs become available for NTC subscribers. The team of AT Consulting specialists was to analyze the transfer of the subscriber base and test and develop the software for conversion of the data into target-system formats.
“The centralization of data on the subscribers and the application of a common payment system will unify the business processes, reporting procedures, and KPI. In addition, the migration has provided the opportunity for our clients in Primorye to use a new personal account, roaming options, a video call, m-Commerce services, and, etc.,” commented Tatyana Smirnova, Regional IT Manager at VimpelCom.
Preparations for the migration started in February, 2013, when the team set about an analysis of the initial data. The productive migration was performed on September 20-21, 2013. Today, the patronage period is over.
“In 2006-2008 we carried out more than ten migrations in the companies that had been acquired by VimpelCom in Russia and the CIS countries. Over the next five years the operator grew its business very extensively and this fact complicated the activities in accordance with the previous projects. However, we have finished the migration before its due time,” said Sergey Tinyakov, Outsourcing Practice Director at AT Consulting.
